Our ultrasound last Wednesday was absolutely amazing. Baby is perfect, the docs tell us!
We were there for a quite a while and the ultrasound tech took her time and talked us through everything we were looking at. We started with the heart — perfect heartbeat of 148. They checked the heart ventricles, and we got to watch the blood pump in and out (red and blue on our screen), which was incredible.
The tech then showed us the spine — perfect — and we were in awe of all those teeny little bones. We went on to see the kidneys, stomach, and bladder — all perfect.
Next came the real fun — the sweet little face. Two eyes, lips, and a little button nose — a precious profile! From there, Baby got busy dancing around, wiggling, and waving its arms “Hi Mom and Dad!” We also got a real treat — a few moments of thumb sucking….making us even more smitten.
Since we don’t want to know the gender, the tech then turned off the big screen TV so she could check Baby’s legs and lower half. She then laughed. Our modest wee one had its legs crossed — we wouldn’t have known anyways! At that point we got to see the long legs and itty bitty feet.
Baby is currently measuring right at 8 ounces, and is still on schedule for July 23rd!
