Summer — as it tends to do — is passing in a flash, and Mommy got behind on posting (and picture-taking)! Here’s a quick summary of our past two weeks:
Gardening Camp at the Children’s Schoolhouse included learning about composting (“making a big pile out of our yucky food”), planting a pumpkin and a sunflower, painting clay pots, and playing in the dirt. The highlight of the week, according to Claire: Playing “bad dogs” with my friend Boaz. (She keeps us guessing, y’all.)
Water World Camp at the Children’s Schoolhouse was a flurry of swimsuits, sunscreen, and sand. (Soooo much wet sand.) The kiddos played in the sprinkler, built a stream, got soaked on the water slide, and touched turtles and toads. The highlight of Water World Camp, according to Claire: When the turtle tickled the teacher’s hand…and then went pee pee on her.
Next up: Auntie Haley Camp! My amazing sister is entertaining the girls for much of the summer, and she will be coming up with plenty of adventures to fill Claire’s weeks. We’re mighty grateful for her!
